From this unit I learned quite a few things:
1.) Intuition and intellect work best when utilized together. However, in modern day, we are taught to evaluate based on reason rather than what our senses are telling us. I think we are selling ourselves short by minimally using the instincts/senses we were born with.
2.) Many atheists do not think there has to be a God in order for life to have purpose. I think many of them might say that religion is a crutch for us to justify actions and to look for meaning.
I learned more about Open Source Religion in this unit than any of the others because this chapter was so focused on life's purpose. There are many opinions out there and Open Source Religion is a way for us to discuss and debate them. Open Source creates an open forum to examine why we are here and what our purpose is, if any.
Thank you to all of you that commented and helped me learn more about my beliefs, as well as, yours.
