In her book, A History of God, Karen Armstrong discusses the God of the Philosophers as follows:

During the ninth century, the Arabs came into contact with Greek science and philosophy, and the result was a cultural florescence which, in European terms, can be seen as a cross between the Renaissance and the Enlightenment. A team of translators, most of whom were Nestorian Christians, made Greek texts avai… Continue

An Ancient Creation Hymn

Self organizing system Love Plus Dictator= God. True or false?

Love plus Dictator =God. A self organizing manifestation. Self organizing can happen not only in the physical but in the abstractive as well. Is love real, is dictator real? What is real, this certainly looks like a self organizing and thus emergent to me. How exactly is the difference between this phenomena and what is called self organizing? It's in the abstractive? You can't say since it's in the abstractive it's not real. That is pure nonsensical belief. So what is the answer?

Monotheism, Simply animism moved into the abstract.

There really is very little that separates Chrisitianity from Animism. Christianity or all three monotheisist religions are simply a movement of our evolutionary development away from ascribing the Term God in a singluar Fashion to a concrete Object, IE the sun God RA. To an abstract Concept. You can see the evolutionary development the human brain as it develops over time in relationship to it's religous tendencies. We all are stuck with it we can't really escape it. The Singular Sun God is rea… Continue

Gratitude learning - the alphatudes

I recently found a book, Alphatudes - the alphabet of gratitude, which does a great job of both explaining the value of gratitude as a spiritual practice AND inspiring people wanting to practice it. Do you all practice gratitude?

The Tao as "Indefinable", as Well

Taoism 101:

http://www.personaltao.com/tao/taoism.htm

==============================================================

I liked this page a lot -- as it is pretty much describes where I'm at after life experience, Landmark Education seminars, and studying Buddhism, as well as some meditation and breathing deeply -- I have been lazy on the meditation lately.

In particular, this person is saying that the Tao is indefinable, and I think he al… Continue

New Definition of God to be Something Not Definable and Not Knowable?

Why does causation matter?

Can't we all just skip to the next level?

For example, it doesn't matter if we believe we were made in the image of God or not. All that matters is to define what we are. I could say my high self (which I guess is located in my subconscious) is a microcosm of God, or I could just forget the God part and talk about my high self only.

This web site is "Redefine God," but what if the new definition of God is to ignore God? Would God be offended? Of course not. To me th… Continue

Artificial intelligence. On the brink of a new species.

I am a very very strong supporter of the work in AI. I don't think we put enough money into it, but then again, money in and of itself will not make it go either faster or slower, but i do love the whole field and what it is about. I'm going to flip Kurzwell upside down and say from AI and in the field of AI there is going to arise a species that is unique from us today. Kurzweil would agree with this, and this is where I diverge. They are going to be distinctly different, see the world differen… Continue

Blake;s Devil

One of my favorite artist's of all time. I love this picture, you come from it with the view you take to it. To me it's a wonderful rorschach inkblot done in color. The background is black, so this painting arises directly up and out onto the canvas from Blake's sub conscious, into the conscious. If you don't know about Blake I encourage you to check out his work. For me anyway the greatest English 18th century artist, He precedes Surrealism, and he at the same time is breaking from the status q… Continue
